dsartracker is a step-by-step SAR response tracker that guides UK SMEs through the entire subject access request process — from logging an incoming request to exporting an ICO-ready audit trail.
Who it's for
HR managers, office managers, and owner-directors at UK SMEs (10-250 staff) who handle data subject access requests without a dedicated Data Protection Officer. Especially relevant for recruitment agencies, care providers, hospitality, retail, and charities — sectors with high employee churn and dispute rates.
Why we're building this
UK SMEs currently manage SARs with email chains, Word documents, and spreadsheets. There is no audit trail proving a reasonable search was conducted, exemptions were applied correctly, or the statutory deadline was met. SAR complaint volumes to the ICO rose 23% year-on-year, and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 adds fresh complexity. Enterprise tools solve this at £10,000+/year. SMEs have nothing purpose-built at a price they can justify.
